Rural Healthy Eating Active Living (RHEAL) Program

The RHEAL Program promotes active recreation for Yukon’s rural and First Nations communities and under-served populations. Local organizations may be eligible to receive support to offer unique recreation activities suited to their community’s needs and interests.

Applications are considered when activities:

  • meet the RHEAL Program guidelines;
  • are accessible, inclusive, active and offered regularly (at least once per week for two months);
  • are led by a qualified, local leader;
  • take place outdoors and over the fall/winter (ideally); and
  • are not excluded under RPAY’s insurance policy.

The RHEAL Program helps make a positive impact in Yukon communities!

Applications are accepted at any time. New applicants must be an organization such as a rural recreation department, First Nations government, or a local group with their own insurance. Applications are considered during the Review Periods of mid-September, mid-December and mid-April. All applicants are notified within 4 weeks after a Review Period.
